Spring Market Photos 2007

Anne Sutton, Jennifer Bosworth (Shabby Fabrics), Verna Mosquera (The Vintage Spool) and Meg Hawkey (Crabapple Hill)

The booth right across from me was the fabulous Meg at Crabapple Hill. She also designs fabric for Henry Glass and all their designers were together (Buggy Barn and Heather Mulder Peterson to name a few). It was so much fun being able to meet them all! Then, Jennifer and Verna came by and we were so noisy I thought we might be asked to leave! A photo moment for sure. It took forever to get this picture because we couldn't stop laughing!

Me and my very good friend Brenda Riddle from Acorn Quilt and Gift Company.

Brenda's booth was just as I pictured it would be. Soft and sweet. That smile you see on her face is one that is always there! Her new book "Comfort and Joy" sold out the first day. That says it all for the book...it's a beauty!

Me and another good friend, Vicki Bellino from Bloom Creek. This was her first market and she was having so much fun! Just wait for Fall Market! No stopping her now! I'm talking her into doing a blog so look for it in the future. Right Vicki? You promised!

We arrived in Salt Lake City without a thing to decorate our booth. At the last minute we found out the pink, vintage baby bassinet I planned on shipping required a box we couldn't find. Fortunately we arrived a day early and were off to visit the local shops. My friends at Piper's came to our rescue and before I knew it we had more than we needed, including a vintage baby buggy. It was one of those times that you just stand back and realize how good people can be. I took some photos of this darling shop. A Quilt Sampler favorite and I can see why!

Hat collection above the back door at Piper's Quilt Store! I want this for my studio!

Have you ever seen anything so pretty? Wool floss hung by ribbons and a wood stick. Simplicity at it's best...beautiful, as was the whole store!

Knitting and Heirloom embroidery at Piper's Quilts! Old crafts that are making a comeback. This display was calling my name. It was so pretty! Look at the little pink dress with the embroidered trim!

Wow! Such a long post for me! I've got to go unpack some more boxes, but I'll have lots of pictures to show you soon I promise. Now where did I put that exercise bike?
