It’s basket day at Bunny Hill and we’re going on a picnic! Are you ready? It’s a cupcake picnic! Here, go ahead and have one! Help yourself!
If you get our newsletter you’ll have the recipe link for these cupcakes by Brigette. If not, you can find it here!
I am in love with cupcakes and when it came to choosing something to put in the August basket, cupcakes were my first choice. Of course we can’t have a picnic without a bug. I love ladybugs too!
Here’s the appliqué version!
And, if you’re working on the redwork you’re in for a treat! I’ll show you a peek of the finished quilt!
Just look at this cutie…
…and then look at the quilting!
And here’s another little surprise! 1” rick rack inserted into the binding of the appliqué quilt! Can you see it in the picture below?
The rick rack is a pretty peachy/rose color and it adds the finishing touch. It’s easy to do and you can buy it here (requires 5 1/2 yd). I’ll give you the directions for inserting the rick rack soon. So easy!
No, I didn’t forget all you woolies out there. Just click on over to Cottons n’ Wool for the wool version of block eight! It’s 100 degrees and Anne’s making wool cupcakes.
Have a great cupcake month!
Hugs,
Anne
