Reading Material

I’m always on the lookout for new reads.  Just so happens I found two of them this week.

Ok, you may not need to read the first one…just thought I’d point it out because it’s my “Sugar Bunny” quilt on the cover!   Well, part of the quilt...they cut off the bunnies and changed the colors!  But it’s my quilt and hey it’s on the cover minus a few star points.

What to expect

And there’s more! Inside the book, they credit the quilt design to Anna Sutton.   You’ve heard of her, that famous Anna Sutton?  Hummm, name sounds familiar to me.

The second find, “Blogging for Bliss”  I recommend as a good read if you like blogging or reading blogs.  Not only does it have some great blogs inside, it has information and tips on blogging!  Blogging for Bliss Our own Pam Kitty Morning and Happy Zombie are in the book! Congratulations ladies!

Inside book

I visited The Vintage Magpie blog yesterday as I was looking through the book…cost me a bit of money.  She makes bunnies!   Cute ones and you know who, (me) bought one.  I was influenced by that Anna.

Have a great day everyone!  I’ll be reading more of this book later!

Hugs,

Anne (with an e)

American Patchwork & Quilting, June 2009!

Have you seen the June issue?  The June issue of American Patchwork and Quilting?  If you subscribe to this magazine it should be arriving in your mail box any day.  If you don’t subscribe (and you should), you can find it in the stores April 6th.  I’m excited to announce that I’m the featured designer in this issue!  Yep, me!  Moi! Mich! わたしを!  Me, Me, Me in French, German and Japanese!

If you asked what magazine I would most want to be featured in, I would say without hesitation, American Patchwork and Quilting.  It’s a professional, wonderful, quilting magazine and it’s such an honor to be included in this issue!

It was last August when American Patchwork came to my home and studio.   Can you imagine how you’d feel if you knew they were coming?  I started cleaning in July!  They spent a little over a day, shooting more than 200 photos, with cats and dogs watching, to bring you this article.

It’s amazing to watch them work.  They have but one goal;  to bring you, their readers, things you will enjoy reading.  The staff of this magazine is simply the best!

Editors.psd Jennifer, thank you for asking me, and Elizabeth, Nancy and Michael, thank you for coming and making it so much fun.  I had the best time ever!

Julia in Germany, I’ll send you a magazine as soon as I find one!  I promise!

Hugs everyone!  Be sure and look for this issue!

Wonderful Reads!

It's delightful as always. It's the new issue of "Artful Blogging". I love to read this magazine! The world of blogging has opened the door to creativity and everyone can participate! This is one magazine I read. I mean really read, not just skim the pages till I find something of interest.

Did you notice "Bitty Bird" in the photo above? This is my "artful" contribution to the photo. You'll really see how pitiful my attempt is after you visit the blog I selected as my favorite from this issue of "Artful Blogging". Just the name of this blog makes me want to visit and the photos? You be the judge! http://www.raisedincotton.typepad.com/.

And while I'm sharing my favorite reads, I found a new book by Tone Finnanger, "Sew Pretty Christmas Homestyle". This is one designer I would love to meet! I LOVE everything she does. Her look is fresh, creative and delightful. Every single page of this book is beautiful. Every single page, including the table of contents LOL! It's filled with projects I would make for myself.

With so many books flooding the market, it's delightful to find one so unique!

I really need one of those angel geese (upper right corner). I may have to make one!

Have a great weekend everyone! Chelsea and I are going for a walk, all 7 lbs of her.
