Project week

It’s project week at Bunny Hill.  The tables are a bit cluttered, and there’s fabric everywhere, but that’s a good thing. It means I’m working!   I never have enough room.  If there’s a spare inch of table space I fill it with something.  Things look orderly in my photos, but if you could see what I copped out you’d laugh!

Here’s the fabrics for a new quilt I’m working on.  It’s the new line from the French General & Moda Fabrics called “Rural Jardin”.   I’ll add some basics and a few other fabrics and maybe, just maybe, I’ll have a new quilt!

   On the work table now

And how about this little stack of wool and other goodies?  Gotta love this wool!  I’ve even mixed in a fat quarter or two of “Martinique” !

New Bitty

These are the makings for the next Bitty Pincushion!  This is a fun one I’ll be sharing for next market!  I’m so proud of myself for working ahead.  Normally the pincushions get left until last! But not this little one!

Remember to keep those squirrel names coming! Mrs. Beasley, Nuti, Nutty, Poppy, Sassie, Bitty Grace, Beatrice, Jewel, Scamper, Amber, Chloe…

Hugs,

Anne

Matilda the happiest squirrel you ever did see, spent her days waltzing around bunny hill tree!
Sorting through fabric, designing patterns and such. And she said Anne was just as sweet as could be. Oh but poor Chelsea struggling with her weight for the whole world to see,her advise to the dog eat more nuts. This little squirrel is living the good life you see and she said to tell you she hopes you send the gift basket to me!

I am excited to see what you come up with using the Rural Jardin. I can only imagine it will be absolutely beautiful. I love all the applique quilts you have done so far, and I am doing several of them right now.

And that little squirrel ....my second offering is "Gracie". My sister's dog is named Gracie and she is so sweet but crazy like a little squirrel.

Those fabrics are so yummy. I especially love the wools. Can't wait to see the final products.
I think your squirrel should be Miss Nutkin.

I suggest Squirrelina or Squirreline for the name.

My name choice for your squirrel would be " Cotillion"

I chose this name because it is a fancy french dance party. Squirrels do all kinds of dances and your designs are so beautiful all pretty in pink and sweet colors and designs they make me think of a darling girls party.

Laura said...

Bennie, because it rhymes with Bunny and could be a boy or a girl.

I tried to put this suggestion on the original post, but it appears that the "comment basket" might be full!

If little miss squril is going to hang out in your workroom and you'll be talking to her, maybe her/his name should be something easy like Penny or Rusty.

Yummy fabrics and projects to do.

I think your squirrel needs to be named "Lil Nibbler" since she's always looking for specials around the quilt blocks.
