Pink isn't a color...it's an attitude!

I just learned Rowenta makes a pink/white iron and a pink ironing board cover! Do you think I'm in heaven? The answer, if you have any doubt is yes! People tell me I'm a bit late with this knowledge, but I don't care. Happy is happy and I could be happy with a pink iron! Note to self: buy pink iron when I return from market.

My assistant Nireko is from Japan, I so I am in the "know" ahead of time. In Japan you can buy the Clover Craft Iron in pink! Yes, pink! I can understand why the Japanese get it first, because Clover is a Japanese company, but I really have to protest. We need it here too! Maybe I'll see one at Quilt Market next week. If not, I'll send my assistant to talk to the CEO. How's that?

Just so all of you are in the "know", my booth at market will be pink and brown. Very chic and not too shabby I hope! Lots of little bitty birds and fabric roses. I'll take photos for you. I haven't had too much time to spend on my booth so I'm pulling it together at the last minute along with tons of suitcases, boxes of patterns, and no time to think about what to wear.

I leave for Houston International Quilt Market on Wednesday and I'll be gone for a week. I'll try to get my new patterns posted on my web site before I leave, but I can't promise. This is the closest I've ever come to market without being done. My family isn't protesting yet, but they are thinking about it.

Speaking of last minute, I've included a preview of my new block of the month called "Blossom Time" featuring "Miss Emma's Garden" fabric and some of Holly's new Lakehouse fabric. My assistant Nireko and I appliqued this quilt in just 5 days. I'll tell you how when I get back. It really was a miracle.

Block Two from "Blossom Time"

Wish you were all coming with me to market!

Hugs,

Anne

And the winner is...

Karen from Washington! Post number 24, using our scientific Mrs. Glosser's random number generator! Karen's a new quilter and Buttons & Bows is the perfect quilt for a beginner. Congratulations Karen! Just email me your address and I'll send you a kit! Thank you all for posting your comments. I LOVED reading each and every comment and I wish I had a kit to send to everyone! (:

If you're wondering why I didn't post on my birthday it's because I'm sharing the same cave as Elizabeth over at Late Bloomer http://the-latebloomer.blogspot.com/! Elizabeth, you are not alone. We should move in together! Life outside of the studio doesn't happen right before quilt market. I'm resigned to the fact that it will always be like this. LOL!

I have to tell you the bunnies have had a miracle happen right here in bunny land. My new block of the month has been made in just 5 days. 5 DAYS! Me and my little assistant Nireko have worked round the clock and it is done! Fabric didn't arrive until last week so everything got put on hold and we just started sewing. I can't believe we did this, but we did! Now with UPS willing it will make it to market. Coming soon from Bunny Hill Designs...Blossom Time!

Yesterday was a day of presents and surprises and I took a little break to open the most wonderful present from my assistant Anne Bryson in Bend, Oregon! She knows I love, love, love Cindy's things over at http://www.cutepinkstuff.com so look what she sent me for my desk! I've already filled it with all my necessities like pencils, erasers, scissors, and paper.

...and then look what arrived! A little gift from the Queen of pink herself...Cindy! Thank you Cindy! I LOVE it! This will be the most treasured clipboard ever!

So now it's back to work. Got to get those patterns done!

Look what just hatched!

It's Fall, the leaves are turning brown, and look what just hatched in the Bunny Hill Studio! It's Bitty Bird Pincushion! She started singing the minute she hatched! It wasn't an easy hatching, because two of her prototypes are in the garbage can. Who said designing was easy? At the last minute I decided she needed a hat and ta da her flower was stitched on! She's happy to be here and can't wait to become a pattern! Coming soon from Bunny Hill....(:

For all of you who are entering my drawing for the kit in the last post, I'll pick a winner on Monday, October 15th. That's my birthday and what a great way to celebrate!

It's Number 100!

It's post number 100 and Chelsea's so excited she can hardly contain herself! She's been bugging me all week to write this blog, and yes, I do feel guilty when I can't post. I love to stay in contact with all of you and even when I can't blog I'm thinking of you. So hooray for post number 100!!!!

Early this week, my fabric, Miss Emma's Garden arrived at my door! It's been non stop ever since. I've been waiting for this fabric forever and counting the days until it arrived. I even thought of calling customs and begging. Yes, I have lots of new patterns done, but Miss Emma is for my newest block of the month, so what's a designer to do? Well, the minute it gets in your hands you start sewing and you don't stop! I'm having so much fun It's time for a giveaway!

This little quilt is almost finished and I've decided to give away a complete kit and pattern to make this little charmer. If pink and beige are your colors, just leave a comment on this post and we'll have a drawing next weekend. You'll get the fabric, pattern, vintage buttons and ribbon so you can make one too! It's called Buttons and Bows and it's made from 5" squares. Sew easy!

Use it on a table, throw it over a chair, it's shabby chic and perfect for a cottage decor! Even better you can make it in a day!

Thank you for reading my blog and sharing a part of my life. It's amazing to me how these little blogs we share, make it a very small world afterall.

Hugs to all,

Anne (:
